TimesLIVE poor roads potholes

According to a recent study, South Africa is the world’s most dangerous country in which to drive.

One of the factors contributing to SA’s alarming road statistics is poor road maintenance. Potholes, uneven road surfaces and other road defects can lead to accidents that result in serious injuries or deaths.

In this podcast, TimesLIVE interviews a security company and a Johannesburg ward councillor about a recent accident caused by a huge hole – left unrepaired for months – in a main road.

The interviewer also speaks to DSC Attorneys director, Kirstie Haslam, about claims for bodily injuries due to poor road maintenance.
