Sherilee Edwards (LL.B.)

Sherilee graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2019 with an LL.B. degree, whereafter she enrolled in the School for Legal Practice before securing articles with DSC Attorneys in October 2020. Sherilee successfully completed her practical vocational training and was admitted as an attorney in March 2022, whereupon she was offered a position as a legal practitioner working with Carla Griffith, providing valuable support in DSC’s medical malpractice department. In 2020 Sherilee completed a certificate course in medical law for legal practitioners, and was also admitted as a Notary Public in October 2023.

Aphelele Mabanga (LL.B.)

Aphelele – fluent in six South African languages – was Head Girl of Ashton International College in Benoni, from which she matriculated in 2013. She subsequently enrolled at the University of the Free State to pursue her LL.B. degree, which she was duly awarded in 2020, having served as Prime of her Residence during the course of her studies.

In the wake of her graduation, Aphelele attended various Vacation Work Programmes to hone her skills in different areas of the law.

In June 2021, Aphelele secured a position as a Candidate Legal Practitioner with DSC Attorneys.

Following her admission as an attorney in September 2023, Aphelele was offered a position as a legal practitioner. She currently works in Jan Potgieter’s practice, where she provides invaluable support whilst gaining experience in a diverse range of complex matters.

Robyn Conradie (B.Comm., LL.B., LL.D.)

Robyn graduated with her B.Comm., LL.B. degree from Stellenbosch University in 2018. With a passion for delictual law, Robyn started her legal career as a candidate legal practitioner at DSC Attorneys in January 2019, whereafter she was admitted as a legal practitioner and a notary public in January 2021.

After her admission and a period of practice in the field of personal injury law, Robyn returned to Stellenbosch University in January 2022 to pursue her doctorate in law. Robyn was awarded her LL.D. in December 2025 for her dissertation which focuses on the quantification and payment of delictual damages to medical malpractice victims.

During her doctoral studies, Robyn rejoined DSC as a legal practitioner, where she provides invaluable assistance to Jan Potgieter in his demanding litigation practice.

After matriculating from Swartland High School in 2018, Franco commenced his LL.B. studies at Stellenbosch University. A proud resident of Dagbreek Men’s Residence, Franco gained invaluable experience by participating in various Moot Court competitions, completing law-related short courses and working at the Stellenbosch University Law Clinic. After graduating at the end of 2022, Franco joined DSC as a candidate legal practitioner, working in Daneil Botha’s team.

Throughout the course of his articles, Franco completed an advanced trial advocacy short course, started working on attaining his LL.M. degree, and continued to be an active Boxing and Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu competitor. He was offered the opportunity to take up the position of legal practitioner upon his admission in December 2024, where he continues to provide invaluable support in Daneil Botha’s practice.

Lauren Blankenberg (LL.B.)

Before embarking on her career in the legal environment, Lauren completed her B.A. degree and Honours in Media Studies, and initially worked for a reputable media company for 8 years. Whilst working, she completed her LL.B. degree through UNISA, and in 2023 Lauren joined DSC Attorneys as a candidate legal practitioner in Sanel Botha’s practice. Whilst completing her articles, Lauren started her LL.M. journey and is currently completing her LL.M. degree. She further completed an advanced trial advocacy course.

Lauren maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys activities such as running, hiking, and boxing. After her admission as an attorney in 2025, Lauren was offered a position as a legal practitioner, and she continues to assist Sanel in her busy litigation practice.

Layla Majiet (LL.B.)

Layla Majiet matriculated from the Cape Academy of Mathematics, Science and Technology in 2015, whereafter she gained acceptance to the University of the Western Cape to study towards attaining her LL.B. degree. During her studies, she participated in the SAC- IWAJ Mentorship Program for women. Layla commenced an internship at the Road Accident Fund in 2022, before joining DSC in August of 2023 in order to undertake her practical vocational training. Layla successfully completed her practical vocational training and was admitted as an attorney in October of 2025 and was offered a position as a legal practitioner working with Chris Smit in his busy litigation practice.

Paul Hill (LL.B.)

Paul matriculated from Bishops Diocesan College before completing his LL.B. degree at Stellenbosch University. During his final year, he provided part-time pro bono legal aid services at the Stellenbosch Law Clinic.

Paul joined DSC Attorneys as a candidate legal practitioner in May 2025. After successfully completing his practical vocational training, he was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in July 2026.

Paul now works as a legal practitioner alongside Jacqueline Hudson in her busy practice. He also oversees a legal correspondent practice, providing reliable support to law firms requiring efficient representation in Cape Town’s courts.
