Every year, DSC Attorneys holds a fun-filled Golf Day in support of Woodside Special Care Centre, an NGO that we’ve been proudly supporting for many years. This year, our Golf Day took place on Thursday, 14 November at the gorgeous Durbanville Golf Club.
There were some fantastic prizes up for grabs on the day, including a signed Springbok rugby jersey from our champs, Nutribullet blenders, Bluetooth speakers, wine hampers and much more.
A full field of golfers
We had a full field, with 148 golfers taking part this year.
After an amazing day of golf, the PBT Group took top place, as the winning team. Congratulations to Rene Muiyser, Ron George, Pieter van Heerden and Raymond Croxford.
Well done and well played to all the other participating golfers, too. Everyone had a fantastic day, followed by a delicious dinner – and most important of all, the satisfaction of raising much-needed funds for a very worthy cause.
Our highest figure to date
Huge thanks to all the golfers who took part in our Golf Day and to our staff members who made it possible. With your help, we managed to raise a whopping R250 000 for Woodside Special Care Centre. That’s our highest figure to date!
After seven years, the total amount we’ve raised for Woodside Special Care Centre through our annual Golf Days is an incredible R1 171 200. All these funds have gone towards supporting Woodside’s amazing work with physically and intellectually disabled people.
Woodside Special Care Centre
Located in Rondebosch, Woodside Special Care Centre has been offering therapeutic services and special care for those with profound mental and physical disabilities since 1976. The Centre provides physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, self-help skills and professional nursing.
